Barrie rows with the Dragons in aid of local school
On Saturday 13th September Barrie Stjon Jones, managing director of Be Interactive, will join a crew of parents from St John's School to take part in the Bewl Water Dragon Boat Festival to raise money for the school. The aim is simple: to raise as much money as possible to help the school buy new equipment for the children.
This is a first for Barrie but the second year of the school taking part and they would love to as many people as possible supporting on the day to cheer everyone on to a faster time that, who knows, may even see them in the final. So please donate what you can – every little helps!
The event comes hot on the heels of Barrie’s summer charity event: cycling from John O’Groats to Lands End (JOGLE) solo in 10 days. Barrie did this in aid of SANDS – the Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society, raising nearly £3,000 for the charity.
We wish Barrie all the best for the dragon boat race and think it’s only fair his arms now get a work out with the rowing after what he put his legs through in the summer on the bike!
